It's a girl for Lisa Ling and her husband Dr. Paul Song.
The former "View" co-host and current "Our America" host gave birth on Friday, March 8, E! News reports. The baby, named Jett Ling Song, was born at 1:24 p.m. and weighed in at 6 pounds and 6 ounces.
"Lisa and Jett are resting comfortably," a statement from OWN, the network that airs Ling's show, said. "The proud parents are enjoying the first day of parenthood and are looking forward to bringing their daughter home."
Ling, 39, and Song wed in 2007. The baby girl is the first child for the couple.
In December 2010, during an interview on "The View," Ling opened up about having a miscarriage. The journalist said she suffered the miscarriage about two months into her pregnancy.
"I just felt like such an incredible failure and I felt so alone when it happened," Ling said at the time. "I wasn't ready to tell any of my friends about it.
"I jumped online, I started pouring through blogs. Once I did start talking to friends, I realized that it's so pervasive," she added. "Almost every one of my friends has had one at one time or another but nobody talks about it."
Ling currently hosts the show "Our America" on the OWN network. The show documents controversial subjects in the United States like online brides, drug addictions, sex offenders and religious movements.
The journalist was a co-host of "The View" from 1999 to 2002. After she left the show, Elisabeth Hasselbeck joined the panel. It was recently reported that Hasselbeck might leave "The View," however, a spokesperson for ABC said that Hasselbeck has a "long-term contract" with the show.
On Thursday, March 7, it was announced that Joy Behar was leaving the daytime series at the end of its current season to concentrate on other projects.
