Justin Timberlake wants you to know that he loves Kanye West -- despite the hype.
Timberlake, 32, recently opened up on Jimmy Fallon's late night talk show about his purported feud with the rapper. After performing his hit single "Suit & Tie," which featured a subtle slam to West, Timberlake wants to set the record straight.
"By the way, the lyrics to 'Suit & Tie' ... it felt like to me you changed one of the lyrics," Fallon asked, referring to his "Saturday Night Live" performance.
"I don't remember that," Timberlake answered, with a smile. "Did I change a line? It is live. You know, really, everyone keep calm. Keep calm."
The singer offered a powerful rendition of the single on the sketch comedy show, slightly changing the song's lyrics. The original line in the song is, "aww, [Expletive] so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit." On the March 9 episode, Timberlake sang in its place, "my hit's so sick, got rappers acting dramatic."
The comments were made in response to one of West's recent onstage rants. On February 23, the rapper took the stage at London's Hammersmith Apollo to rant about Timberlake and his friend Jay-Z.
"I got love for Hov, but I ain't [expletive] with that 'Suit & Tie,'" the rapper said. Jay-Z is featured on the song which marks Timberlake's long-awaited comeback, and the pair performed the tune recently at the 55th annual Grammy Awards (See photo).
"Let me say, for the record, I absolutely love Kanye, so there's that," Timberlake continued on the late night talk show. Watch his interview below.
