Authorities say the suspect entered the store at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 9000 block of Alondra Boulevard. He jumped over the counter and beat the woman, who is in her 50s, stealing her wallet containing an unknown amount of cash. The robber then took off on foot.
Police say the convenience store did not have surveillance video of the attack.
The woman was taken to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. She has since been released following treatment.
