Khloe Karhashian Odom and Lamar welcomed a new member to their family this week-- a floppy-eared puppy.
Khloe posted six photos yesterday on her official Celebuzz blog of the white-pawed dog, which posed with members of her family, including Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. She also revealed that the dog was a present from her husband, basketball player Lamar Odom.
"Lamar surprised me yesterday with this boxer puppy!" blogged the reality star. "He named him Bernard Hopkins after a famous pro fighter and we call him BHop."
Lamar named the dog after Bernard Humphrey Hopkins Jr., the American middleweight boxer, who is also known by the nicknames "The Executioner" and "B-Hop."
Hopkins set a record earlier this month by becoming the oldest man to ever win a world boxing title, according to SB Nation. He is 48 years old.
The arrival of the puppy follows the rumored miscarriage of Khloe's sister, Kim, who is pregnant with the child of rapper Kanye West. Khloe, the younger sister, refuted the claims in a blog post on her official website on February 20.
The boxer is not the first animal a Kardashian girl received as a gift. Kanye West gave Kim a white Persian kitten named Mercy on October 16, 2012, according to E! Online. It died less than two months later, after contracting a lethal stomach virus. The family had the kitten euthanized.
At present, Khloe Kardashian is just enjoying the arrival of her new boxer pup.
"How cute is this face?!?!?," the 28-year-old reality star stated. "I am madly head over heels in love!"
Bernard will join the other dogs owned by the Kardashian family, including Dolce and Gabbana, who have their own Twitter page.
"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" is currently filming its eighth season, which will premiere in July.
