OTRC: GLAAD Media Awards 2013: List of winners

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced winners in seven of the 25 English-language categories for the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on April 20.

Among the winners were NBC's television drama "Days of Our Lives," "The New Normal," and Fox's television series "Raising Hope." Additional awards will be presented in the final awards ceremony in San Francisco on May 11.

Bill Clinton was awarded with the Advocate for Change Award, while Steve Warren received the Stephen F. Kolzak award.

The awards ceremony recognizes and honors media for their "fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives," according to the advocacy group's website.
