Rapper Tone Loc collapsed on stage while performing in Iowa.

The 47-year-old rapper, whose real name is Anthony Smith, collapsed after finishing a song during a Saturday night concert in Downtown Des Moines, according to the Associated Press.

According to the Des Moines Register, Tone Loc finished a song, then fell to the ground. People attended to him for about five minutes before fans were asked to leave and the show was shut down. The outlet also has a photo.

The "Wild Thing" performer's condition isn't immediately clear, and the outlet notes that he wasn't listed publically as a patient at any Des Moines hospital.

Tone Loc also collapsed in 1995 while attending a Los Angeles Lakers game. The reason he collapsed wasn't given at that time.

In October 2011, Loc pleaded no contest to one felony count of possession of an assault weapon and one felony count of domestic violence, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in a statement obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com.

He was immediately sentenced by a Burbank Superior Court judge to one day in county jail, three years of formal probation, 30 days community service and 52 weeks of anger management counseling.

The charges stemmed from the June 18 arrest of the rapper. Tone Loc, who is famous for his raspy voice, was arrested after a reported fight with the mother of his child. It was discovered during the investigation that Smith was in possession of an un-registered Colt AR-15 Sporter. He had previously entered a plea of not guilty in July.

The rapper rose to fame in the 1980s with the hits "Funky Cold Medina" and "Wild Thing," the latter of which was featured in the 1989 comedy film "Uncle Buck," which starred John Candy. In 2007, the rapper released a remix of the track, which featured the musical artist Peaches.

Tone Loc has himself also appeared in movies. He played a police officer in the 1994 Jim Carrey movie "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and voiced a character in the 1992 animated film "FernGully: The Last Rainforest." Tone Loc also also had parts on television shows such as "NewsRadio" and "Yes Dear."
