Emma Stone is clearing up the rumors surrounding her strange Tweets.
The 24-year-old actress, who is set to appear in the upcoming animated Disney film "The Croods," talked to Ryan Seacrest about her recent, cryptic Tweets, revealing on the morning show that she was never the one pressing send.
"I'm glad you asked me about this, I have never tweeted my friend," Stone told Seacrest on March 21. "I've tweeted one time to Seth MacFarlane, I said, 'Me too, oh boy.' And then I've been hacked ever since and they've locked me out of my Twitter so I can't access it because they changed my email and my password so we are trying to figure out how to delete it."
The "Crazy, Stupid, Love" actress went on to explain how she learned of the hacking later, and had no idea that someone had assumed her account.
"I heard the other day they tweeted an anagram about Shailene Woodley who is one of my favorite human beings on the planet, and that was absolutely, I swear to you, was not me," she said. "I heard it was an anagram of Shailene and Andrew [Garfield] sitting in a tree."
"That was the first one I heard, and then I heard there was a rich history of other things I've tweeted and deleted," she continued. "And, I didn't know about any of this happening because I don't go on Twitter, I just had a verified account, but now I want to get rid of it."
Earlier this month, many outlets reported that Stone Tweeted an anagram for "Andrew and Shailene sitting in a tree," which read "nawder nad islasehne tsintgi ni a erte." The post, along with her entire Twitter account, has since been deleted.
Stone and Garfield, who have been romantically linked since June 2011, met during a screen test for their 2012 film "The Amazing Spider-Man." In his upcoming superhero movie, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," Woodley is set to play his love interest Mary Jane Watson. The film is set for release in May.
Stone is known for her role in films such as "Zombieland," "Easy A," "Superbad" and "The Help." Her upcoming film, "The Croods," sees her star as Eep, a member of a prehistoric family who goes on a road trip in an uncharted world. The film also stars Nicholas Cage and Ryan Reynolds, and is set for release on March 22.
