Regina King has broken her silence following a report that says she and "Cosby Show" alum Malcolm-Jamal Warner have called it quits, saying that the two "are good."
Us Weekly had said on Thursday that the 42-year-old actor was the one who initiated the breakup after dating the actress for about three years, adding that he asked her and her son, who is from a previous relationship, to move out of their shared home.
"Hey everybody PLEASE don't believe everything you read," King, 42, said on her Twitter page on Friday, March 22. "Me & @MalcolmJamalWar are good. Life happens. Forward motion. Godspeed."
Warner's spokesperson had no immediate comment.
The actor is best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on the 1980s sitcom "The Cosby Show." King, a fellow child star who currently appears on the TNT cop drama "Southland," confirmed around January 2011 that the two had been dating for more than a year. She told Essence magazine at the time: "Malcolm and I have a lot in common. We've both been child actors and were also blessed to be raised by incredible mothers who instilled good values in us."
