The chase began just before 9:30 a.m. The car was believed to be stolen.
The suspects weaved in and out of lanes, nearly hitting pedestrians, and at one point, drove in the opposite direction of traffic.
Both suspects bailed out of the car in a parking lot in the area of Gilmore Street and Vesper Avenue at 9:36 a.m. One suspect ran into a business at the intersection of Victory and Van Nuys boulevards, sending people running out of the store. He was taken into custody a short time later.
A second suspect was taken into custody about a block away.
