Angelina Jolie channeled Maleficent when she stepped out onto the red carpet at the Women in the World Summit in New York.
The 37-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who plays the iconic "Sleeping Beauty" villain in a new live-action Disney film, sported a long, brown dress with a loose waist and tassels and a flowing black robe, both from the Saint Laurent Spring 2013 collection, at the event, which took place at the David H. Koch Theater on Thursday, April 4.
Jolie wore long brown robes and horns while filming "Maleficent" in London in June 2012. The movie is set for release on July 2 of this year. (Check out more details about Angelina Jolie and Disney's "Maleficent" and an interview with co-star Elle Fanning.)
This was the first red carpet event for Jolie since February, when she stepped out in a gray Atelier Versace dress at the American Society of Cinematographers' Outstanding Achievement Awards (see photos).
The notoriously private actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador recently returned from a trip to the Congo. On Friday, she was spotted with two of her and fiance Brad Pitt's six children at famous toy store FAO Schwartz in New York City.
