The threat was posted on Twitter. Police received several reports of the threat Tuesday at about 6 p.m. An anonymous caller identified the alleged suspect and victim as students of John Burroughs High School in Burbank.
Police investigators determined a male student of John Burroughs High School in Burbank threatened another student and referenced previous nationally known school shootings.
Police interviewed the suspect and the victim. The suspect, a 16-year-old male Burroughs student, was arrested for making a terrorist threat. Police said it was an isolated incident.
"The Burbank Police Department and Burbank Unified School District continue to work together on all cyber threats or bullying incidents directed at students and staff to ensure the safety of everyone," Burbank Police said in a statement Wednesday.
