Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton and music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs used their Twitter accounts to shoot down a report that they are an item.
The New York Daily News published a report on Tuesday, April 9, claiming 20-year-old Upton and 43-year-old Diddy Combs were "hot and heavy." The report said the two were originally seen getting close at a Miami Beach night club on March 24 before meeting up in New York City last week for dinner.
However, Upton dismissed the report on Twitter when responding to a New York Magazine fashion blog, which had cited the report and said the two were spotted "sucking face."
The model Tweeted on Wednesday, April 10, "Really??? Not at all true."
Less than an hour later, Diddy sent out his own Tweet dismissing the rumor, writing, "Attention all Media. I don't even know Kate Upton personally! I'm not dating her ! What's being reported is not true. END of story!"
Diddy topped Forbes' list of wealthiest hip-hop stars in 2013. The list was released in late March and Diddy beat out the likes of Jay-Z and Dr. Dre.
In February, Upton landed on the cover of the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for the second time. She was also the cover girl for the 2012 issue. She is the first model to appear on back-to-back Swimsuit Issue covers since Tyra Banks, who donned the magazine's cover in 1996 and 1997.
Upton also denied she was in a relationship with Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander during an interview with a local Fox News affiliate in Detroit in February.
The model first gained internet fame in 2011 when a video of her doing the dance "the Dougie" at a Clipper's game went viral. Upton has had roles in "Tower Heist" and "The Three Stooges." She also briefly appeared as herself on the Feb. 18, 2012 episode of "Saturday Night Live."
