Jackman was reportedly working out at a gym in Manhattan's West Village neighborhood when 47-year-old Kathleen Thurston came rushing in.
According to authorities, Thurston was crying and shouting that she loved Jackman as she pulled out a razor filled with hair and threw it at the actor.
The woman fled but was arrested shortly several blocks from the gym. The actor wasn't hurt but told a radio station Sunday that the run-in was frightening.
Police say the woman has gone near Jackman and his family before. She's allegedly shown up at the "X-Men" star's house and daughter's school in the past.
Thurston is now awaiting trial.
