Alexis Bledel's baby blue eyes weren't the only things sparkling on the red carpet at the premiere of her latest project, the Disney ABC Television and the Hallmark Hall of Fame TV film "Remember Sunday."
The 31-year-old "Gilmore Girls" alum is nowadays some gorgeous new bling -- an octagonal-shaped diamond engagement ring given to her by her fiance, Vincent Kartheiser. The 33-year-old actor plays Pete Campbell on "Mad Men." Bledel played his mistress, Beth, on the fifth season of the AMC show last year.
"Vincent picked it out himself! He did so well," she told OTRC.com at the "Remember Sunday" premiere, which took place on Wednesday, April 17, at the Fox Studio Lot in Century City, near Los Angeles.
Her engagement to Kartheiser was announced last month. This will mark the first marriage for both actors.
"Mad Men" began its sixth season on April 7. When asked about his engagement to Bledel at the show's premiere on March 20, Kartheiser told OTRC.com he's a "very lucky man" (Watch the full interview).
The actress wore a black and ivory Pamella Roland Spring 2013 Shantung silk cut-out dress with a square neckline and cap sleeves and black patent leather "Rumer" pumps from Pedro Garcia's Spring / Summer 2013 collection. She attended the premiere of "Remember Sunday" with co-star Zachary Levi, who wore a light gray two-piece suit from Vivienne Westwood's Spring / Summer 2013 "MAN" collection.
In the TV film, Bledel plays a waitress and he plays a jewely store clerk who falls in love with her ... every day, because he suffers from short-term memory loss. "Remember Sunday" airs on ABC on April 21 at 9 p.m. ET.
"Working with him is fantastic," Bledel said about Levi, at the premiere.
"Aww, thank you," Levi replied, adding: "Look at this gorgeous specimen, who's also super talented and super nice and now she's engaged and blah blah blah, we've heard it."Additional reporting by Chi-Lan Lieu, correspondent for KABC Television's entertainment show "On The Red Carpet" (check for local TV listings).
