Melissa Gilbert, an actress known for her role on "Little House on the Prairie," has married actor Timothy Busfield -- and the red-headed starlet wore a ... red dress.
The star wore a red, strapless wedding gown, as seen in a iPhone photo she Tweeted. She and Busfield tied the knot at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. The historic location is popular among celebrities -- it's where Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman had their rehearsal dinner, and is also where Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie stayed for their wedding night.
Gilbert took to Twitter to explain how the ranch, which is described by its website as the "ideal setting for small wedding celebrations," is also the same location where Lawrence Olivier and Vivian Leigh married, as well as where John and Jackie Kennedy honeymooned.
Busfield has appeared in films such as the "Revenge of the Nerds" series, in which he played Arnold Poindexter. He also portrayed Danny Concannon on the show "The West Wing." Gilbert, a former child star, is known best for her role as Laura "Half Pint" Ingalls on the series "Little House on the Prairie," which aired between 1974 and 1983.
In August 2011, Gilbert filed for divorce from her husband of 16 years, Bruce Boxleitner. They have a son, Michael, who was named after Gilbert's "Little House on the Prairie" co-star, Michael Landon, who died at age 54 in 1991. Gilbert also has a son from a previous marriage.
