Gwyneth Paltrow, who was recently named People magazine's "World's Most Beautiful Woman" of 2013, generated attention for a different reason at the Los Angeles premiere of "Iron Man 3" on Wednesday night -- she appeared to be missing something.
The 40-year-old Oscar winner, who plays Iron Man's love interest Pepper Potts in the Marvel film, wore a navy, teal and shimmering white Antonio Berardi Fall 2013 gown with sheer kimono sleeves and panels that showed off what appeared to be her bare upper hips, with no panty line, strap or string in sight.
Co-star Robert Downey Jr., who plays the title character, superhero Iron Man and alter ego and billionnaire Tony Stark, showed up in what has become one of his frequent red carpet styles -- a black pinstriped suit and white tennis shoes. Other stars spotted: Ben Kingsley, who plays the villain The Mandarin, Rebecca Hall and Guy Pearce, who play scientists Maya Hansen and Aldrich Killian.
"I think it's such a good movie. I mean, I really was shocked. I didn't expect it to be so good," Paltrow told OTRC.com at the premiere. "Of course, all the action is amazing and the stunts and everything but also the actual bones of he movies. You know you see a really romantic and deepened relationship between Tony and Pepper and all the interpersonal stuff, there's so much humor. It's really good."
"Iron Man 3" hits theaters on May 3.
