Nicki Minaj might be making her big screen debut soon.
The rapper is reportedly in final negotiations to make her live-action acting debut opposite Cameron Diaz in the revenge comedy "The Other Woman," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is about a woman, played by Diaz, who finds out she is the mistress in an affair and teams up with the wife of the man she's been seeing to exact revenge.
"This is 40" star Leslie Mann is set to play the wife while "Game of Thrones" actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will be the cheating man. Minaj is set to play the assistant of Diaz's character at a law firm. Nick Cassavetes is directing the film.
Two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Kate Upton will also have a role in the film as another mistress of Coster-Waldau's character.
Minaj, who is currently a judge on "American Idol," previously lent her voice to the CGI animated film "Ice Age: Continental Drift." Minaj is known for hits like "Moment 4 Life," "Super Bass" and "Starships."
The rapper, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, was born in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to Queens, New York at a young age. She went to LaGuardia High School, a visual and performing arts school, where she participated in the school's drama program. Beyond her "American Idol" duties, Minaj is currently gearing up for the release of her third studio album.
