Man injured in Dorner manhunt seeking settlement with Torrance police

TORRANCE, Calif.

David Perdue's attorney says his client suffered serious injuries when police slammed into Purdue's truck in February, shooting at him several times because his truck resembled Dorner's vehicle.

"Mr. Perdue can barely walk at this point. He's got all manner of physical injuries, he's got post traumatic stress syndrome, he's had a major concussion. These are serious, serious injuries," said Robert Sheahen, Perdue's attorney.

The Torrance City Attorney's Office says it has not received a statement of damages or any demands from Perdue.

But the city and Perdue have agreed to a mediation hearing on June 13 prior to any potential lawsuit being filed.
