The event was an effort to curb pill abuse and drug theft, and to keep the pills from being flushed into the water system.
Saturday's take-back event was part of an ongoing national campaign to reduce household access to leftover medications.
Drivers were able to drop off expired and unwanted medications, prescription and over-the counter, no questions asked.
Officers made sure patient names were removed from the prescription containers.
During the last take-back event held in September, Burbank police collected 158 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs.
