The fight started outside a bar in the 200 block of East Santa Clara Street and involved numerous people, Ventura police say. The fight eventually spilled out onto the 100 block of South Palm Street.
Ventura officers responded Palm Street at 12:38 a.m. after getting word of the fight. Officers found the victim, 23-year-old Spencer Turner of Ventura, in a nearby parking lot. Turner had sustained a minor stab wound to his arm. He was treated for his injury and released.
Carl Ponzio, 19, of Ventura, was arrested after being identified by witnesses as one of the people involved in the fight. Ponzio was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on charges of fighting in public and disturbing the peace.
