Amanda Bynes is again making headlines for her social media antics -- and this time, Jenny McCarthy is involved.
The 27-year-old Nickelodeon child star and "Hairspray" actress, who has been garnering attention in recent months for a string of odd behaviors and "selfie" photos, took to Twitter on Wednesday night to share two topless pictures of herself. Her chest is covered in both photos, which mark her most revealing and daring snapshots.
McCarthy, a 40-year-old TV host and longtime Playboy model, later shared a Twitter post that suggested authorities were at Bynes' home, posting: "Police are at @AmandaBynes house. I hope they get her help. Enough of this circus. She needs help."
The personality, who is known for her witty and sarcastic commentary, posted multiple Tweets from a publicist named Jonathan Jaxson, who was claiming that the NYPD were outside of Bynes' Manhattan apartment, according to E! News -- who also added that there was no truth to Jaxson's claims.
The "Easy A" star then fired back at McCarthy's posts, Tweeting: "@JennyMcCarthy I need help? What are u talking about? Aren't u 50 years old? I'm 27, u look 80 compared to me! Why are you talking about me?"
"@JennyMcCarthy you're ugly! Police weren't at my house old lady! Shut the [expletive] up!" she continued.
Following Bynes' Twitter offensive, McCarthy simply responded: "Sorry girl. Looking out for ya."
As if that exchange wasn't confusing enough, Bynes took to her Twitter account this morning to apologize to the famed television host, saying: "@JennyMcCarthy thanks! I'm sorry I offended you! You're beautiful! I was lying! I'll delete our tweets!"
Both of the actresses have deleted their Tweets regarding the incident.
