Kelly Ripa gave fans a glimpse of what her 1996 wedding to husband Mark Consuelos looked like.
The 42-year-old daytime talk show host shared a photo from her wedding on Twitter on Wednesday, May 1.
The couple wed on May 1, 1996. Before sharing the photo, Ripa Tweeted to Consuelos, "I love you @MarkConsuelos happy anniversary! 17 years feels like 17 days. X."
"Omg. Here it is. 5/1/96," she Tweeted with a link to a photo of the couple at the time, which can be seen above.
Ripa played Hayley Vaughan on "All My Children" between 1990 and 2001. Ripa began acting on "All My Children" when she was 19 as Hayley Vaughan. On the set she met Mark Consuelos, who played her on-screen love interest, Mateo, in 1995.
Ripa and Consuelos dated for a year before they eloped in Las Vegas. The two are parents to three children, 15-year-old Michael, 11-year-old Lola and 10-year-old Joaquin.
In a November 2012 interview with The Daily Beast, Consuelos explained that when he proposed to Ripa, "She goes, 'Ok, let's get married tomorrow.'"
"I made a reservation to Vegas, and we did it," he added.
"People assume that when you get married in Vegas, you go in willy-nilly," Ripa told Good Housekeeping in November 2010. "We wanted to get married and start our lives together, and we didn't take it any less seriously than anybody who has a huge wedding. It's the marriage that's important, not the wedding."
She later added, "I will kill my daughter if she runs off and elopes, because I want to have a big party."
Although both Ripa and Consuelos, 42, left "All My Children" years ago, the two continue to work together often with Consuelos often guest co-hosting "Live with Kelly and Michael," with Ripa. The two started a production company together in 2007 named Milojo.
In a September 2011 interview with OTRC.com, the couple talked about what it was like to work together. Check out their interview below.
