Rob Kardashian has reportedly pled not guilty to one misdemeanor count of battery and one misdemeanor count of petty theft. The charges come from his encounter with a female photographer in March.
Kardashian appeared in court on Wednesday, May 8, to plead not guilty to the charges, E! Online reports. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Kardashian on May 7, according to the news outlet.
The 26-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has been sued by a female photographer who accused the reality star of striking her in the face and stealing her memory card. The photographer, 26-year-old Kassandra Perez, filed a civil lawsuit against Kardashian on April 30.
The incident in question took place outside a gym in Beverly Hills, Calif., on March 27. Police said Perez told them that after she took a few photos of Kardashian, he confronted her about the photos and struck her in the face. Perez also claims that Kardashian then grabbed her camera, removed the memory card and left the scene.
Perez alleges in her lawsuit, according to E! Online, that her injuries prevented her from working as a photographer and that led to a loss of income. She also claims in the lawsuit that her memory card contained about 1,200 photographs of various celebrities and was valued at more than $30,000.
Kardashian has not commented publicly on the case.
