Kelly Clarkson is coming to her friend's defense.

The 31-year-old performer and "American Idol" alum is not too happy with the recent scrutiny Pink has been receiving. After the "Try" signer announced that she would have to cancel one of her show's in England due to an illness, many of her fans became enraged.

"How dare you only work 364 days this year," Clarkson posted to Pink on her WhoSay page on May 3. "I can't believe you got sick. That never happens to anyone ....ever."

"You're so lazy #nameonepersonthathasherschedule, singswhileflying, andisamom ... seriously people," she continued. "Tired of seeing everyone giving her crap. We're all human. Relax."

On April 22, Pink announced that she'd be canceling the first stop of her tour in Birmingham due to an ear and respiratory infection. In her Twitter post, she apologized to her fans and said that she does "not take cancelations lightly."

On May 4, the performer took to her official website to issue a statement regarding the response she received following the cancelation, saying that she was "getting a lot of hate mail" from fans.

"I am a human being, therefore I am able to catch illness -- it is beyond my control -- and I can't apologize for that," she said in the post. "The fact that I don't get the benefit of the doubt from you saddens me. There is no way I can make up this date. There isn't a way. And for any of you that believe in me, please know we did everything we could to try to make it happen."

The singer is currently on tour to promote her sixth studio album, "The Truth About Love," which features her singles "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)," "Try," "Just Give Me A Reason" and "True Love."

Clarkson is also set to embark on a tour -- along with Maroon 5 -- starting in August 2013. The "American Idol" performer is set to open for the group, with her last studio album being the 2011 record "Stronger." Check out the tour dates here.
