Christina Aguilera will return for season 5 of NBC's "The Voice" as previously planned, a report says, adding that CeeLo Green, another original show coach, is still in negotiations to return to the singing contest series.
NBC and the two have also not addressed the issue publicly. USA Today, which carried the report on May 14, also added that it is unclear what the coach line-up will be like when the show returns this fall.
UPDATE: OTRC.com has learned that a deal has not yet been finalized for Aguilera but that negotiations to bring her back are continuing and that her salary could be set in the $12 million range.
After serving as coaches and judges for the first three seasons of "The Voice," Aguilera and CeeLo took a break from the series to pursue personal music and TV projects -- which, in his case, was recently revealed to be a TBS reality show. They both said last year that they planned to come back to "The Voice."
The current fourth season introduced new coaches Shakira and Usher in their place, alongside veteran stars Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. The latter two are expected to return but no announcement has been made as of yet. Deadline reported that Shakira will not reprise her role as a coach on season 5.
