San Jacinto woman arrested after punching officer, trying to take his Taser

SAN JACINTO, Calif.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, a San Jacinto police officer responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of North Alessandro Avenue.

The officer discovered that area resident Jackie Carter, 52, had threatened to kill a roommate and her family.

While that officer was attempting to take Carter into custody, she punched the officer in the head and attempted to take his Taser. Both the officer and Carter sustained minor injuries during the altercation, but both are OK.

Carter was eventually booked at the Larry Smith Correctional Facility for making terrorist threats, attempting to take the officer's Taser and resisting arrest.
