Los Angeles attempted murder suspect arrested in Colorado

LOS ANGELES

Miguel Sanchez, 59, was arrested Wednesday in Colorado Springs for urinating on a wall outside a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.

The Colorado Springs Police Department says Sanchez initially gave officers a false name when he was arrested. After he was fingerprinted, police discovered he had a $2 million warrant.

Sanchez allegedly stabbed a male and then a female after an argument in 2000. Investigators described the crime as domestic violence.

Prosecutors filed four felony charges against Sanchez in 2000: two counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated mayhem and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the district attorney's office.

The LAPD Fugitive Team is working on extraditing Sanchez from Colorado.
