Man stabbed in chest by roommate in Oxnard - police

OXNARD, Calif.

The stabbing happened around 8:15 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Victoria Avenue. Police were called to the home, where they found the 67-year-old victim stabbed in his chest.

After receiving treatment at the scene, the victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center. Police say his wound did not appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect, 72-year-old Michel Myer, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

It is unclear what led to the incident.
