Courteney Cox and David Arquette recently finalized their divorce after separating more than two years ago, bringing an official end to their almost 14-year marriage.
The 48-year-old "Friends" alum and "Cougar Town" actress and the 41-year-old actor share an 8-year-old daughter, Coco. The celebrity couple began a "trial separation" in late 2010. Arguette filed for divorce on June 8, 2012. It was finalized on Tuesday, May 28.
Cox and Arguette wed on June 12, 1999, three years after they met on the set of the first "Scream" horror film. They went on to appear in the next three, including "Scream 4," which was released in 2011. (WATCH the two in a joint interview, above)
The two remained friends after their split.
"I appreciate David more now than I ever did. I mean, Cox said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in January. "It's hard. I don't recommend divorce in general, but, you know, he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed."
The actress and Arquette have kept busy with their acting careers and other business endeavors since their split. Arquette has several films in the works and did some voiceover work in recent years, including on the Disney XD series "TRON: Uprising."
Cox continues to star in "Cougar Town," which moved from ABC to the TBS cable channel earlier this year. Arquette appeared on the third season finale in 2012. Also that year, he opened a Los Angeles nightclub, Bootsy Bellows.
The actor was occasionally spotted in the club scene in the city during the months following his and Cox's split and reportedly underwent rehab in 2011 for drinking and depression.
Arquette appeared to be in good spirits on Wednesday, May 29, at the World Famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood. He was one of the celebrity guests, along with Dennis Haskins -- Mr. Belding from "Saved By The Bell" -- invited to participate in a roast of wrestling star The Iron Sheik.
