Kristen Bell has an upcoming appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show on June 3 and in a preview video for the interview, the actress can be seen talking to the comedian about her 9-week-old daughter and baby sloths.
For readers who might be a little confused about the sloths reference, Bell previously appeared on the show in January 2012 and talked about the emotional breakdown she had on her 31st birthday when her fiance, Dax Shepard, surprised her with a sloth at her home. Sloths are one of Bell's favorite animals.
Now, back to her upcoming appearance on the show. The "House of Lies" actress, who is also hosting the CMT Music Awards, talked in the video about the new addition to her life, her baby daughter Lincoln. Video of her interview can be seen below.
DeGeneres asked how motherhood was and Bell replied, "It's actually better than I expected. It's pretty wonderful, yeah."
"Better than a sloth," DeGeneres asked.
"Is she watching? Is she here," Bell, 32, joked. "I'm sure it's better than a sloth."
Bell also said Shepard is "the best" dad and added, "It's like he's made a new best friend. He just talks to her all day and sings to her all day, it's wonderful."
DeGeneres said that the show wanted a picture of the baby but that Bell and Shepard are not showing a photo of their daughter and Bell explained her reasoning behind that.
"Yeah, well we're not quite positive that she wants to be a public figure yet and so we're gonna leave that up to her and if she wants, she can plaster -- she can do a bunch of selfies, who cares," she said. "But, you know, we're just not going to make that decision for her."
DeGeneres then showed Bell a photo of a baby sloth and asked the actress, "Is she cuter than that?"
"She's close," Bell said. She later added, "There's nothing cuter than a baby sloth."
Since the audience had no idea what Bell's baby girl looked like, DeGeneres had Bell describe her child while the comedian tried to draw a picture of the baby.
Bell and Shepard welcomed daughter Lincoln Bell Shepard in March. Bell also explained to DeGeneres that the couple named their daughter Lincoln because it was Shepard's favorite name.
