Kristen Stewart may be recovering from her recent split, but the starlet has plenty on her plate to keep her occupied.
Stewart, 23, has nabbed roles in two upcoming films -- "Camp X-Ray" and "Sils Maria" -- according to a June 4 report by Deadline. Not only is she set to appear in the movies, but Stewart is set to play the lead characters.
In "Camp X-Ray," the actress is set to play a young soldier who escapes her small town by joining the military -- only to learn she won't be going for a tour of Iraq as she hoped. When she's sent to Guantanamo instead, the young woman is met with hatred and abuse from the Muslim men in her charge, according to the outlet.
The film is set to be produced by Gina Kwon of "The Good Girl" and Sophia Lin of "Take Shelter," and will be executive produced by David Gordon Green, Lindsay Williams and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein. Production for the drama film will begin in late summer.
For her second project, "Sils Maria," the "Twilight" actress will star alongside Juliette Binoche and Chloe Moretz for the independent film that sees her playing an assistant. The movie explores middle age and the "introspective period" where one questions what they've spent their life doing, according to the outlet.
In the movie, which IFC acquired for distribution just before the Cannes Film Festival, Stewart plays the assistant to Binoche's character -- an actress who becomes obsessed with a young actress, played by Moretz's character. The film is set to shoot in Europe sometime this summer.
The actress, who is reportedly going through a breakup with longtime boyfriend Robert Pattinson, was last seen in the final installment of the popular "Twilight" franchise, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."
Stewart also appeared in "On The Road" in 2012, and played Snow White herself in the Rupert Sanders directed film "Snow White and the Huntsman" in 2012. The starlet announced in December that she was "so excited" to reprise her role for the film's highly-anticipated sequel.
