Investigators say two men were turned away from a house gathering shortly before midnight Wednesday on the 1200 block of West 110th Street.
That's when one of them allegedly fired into the house, hitting one woman in the shoulder and the other in the chest.
Both women, 22 and 32, were rushed to a nearby hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
The victims told investigators they believe the suspects are gang members.
