Cirque du Soleil debuted a new show that pays tribute to the late Michael Jackson and the singer's son, Prince, was in attendance.
In addition, Michael's brothers were also at the event and Jackie Jackson gave an update on Michael's daughter Paris, who did not attend the show.
The new Cirque du Soleil show is called "Michael Jackson ONE" and the organization's president, Daniel Lamarre, told The Associated press he had always planned two Jackson-inspired shows since the company got the rights from the Jackson estate for the first show, "Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL WORLD TOUR."
The show premiered on Saturday, June 29, and celebrities like Neil Patrick Harris, Justin Bieber and Alfre Woodard hit the red carpet. Prince appeared with his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and Michael's brother Marlon, Tito and Jackie were there as well.
Jackie told the wire service that Paris is "going to be OK." He later added, "She's getting better."
Paris was hospitalized on June 5 after an apparent suicide attempt.
The family also stayed quiet about their wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Live, which organized a tour Michael was preparing for before he died in 2009. Last week, Prince testified at the trial and revealed personal details about his life, his siblings and his father's last days.
As for the show, Lamarre explained that "ONE" was different from "The IMMORTAL WORLD TOUR."
"It's a total immersion," Lamarre told The AP about "ONE." "So, people are going to dive into the universe of Michael Jackson."
