One million lucky Jay-Z fans with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone will have a chance to get the rapper's new album for free starting on July 4.
The album, titled "Magna Carta Holy Grail," will be available for free to the first million smartphone owners who downloaded a special app on their Samsung Galaxy SIII, Galaxy S4 or the Galaxy Note II, according to USA Today.
The rapper initially announced the Samsung promotion during the NBA Finals Game 5 in June with a three-minute ad that featured Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz, Rick Rubin and Timbaland.
"The album is about, like this duality of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success, through failures, through all this and remain yourself," Jay-Z tells Rubin about the new album in the ad, which can be seen below.
"Magna Carta Holy Grail" is Jay-Z's twelfth studio album. The Wall Street Journal reported on June 16 that Samsung paid $5 for each of the one million copies that will be distributed to their smartphone users.
