Active military personnel and veterans are invited to watch Columbia Pictures' movie "White House Down" for free on the Fourth of July.

Regal Entertainment Group, AMC Theatres, Cinemark Theatres and Carmike Cinemas theater will participate in this special tribute to troops.

"It's a great way to celebrate the holiday and to honor and thank the troops for their service to our country," said Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures.

Members of the military must present proper military identification. They can bring one guest with them free of charge. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the film, Channing Tatum stars as a Capitol policeman who must save the president, played by Jamie Foxx, his daughter, and the country following a terrorist attack on the White House.
