Mariah Carey has shared a photo of herself from a hospital bed, sporting a "very fashionable sling," a day after it was revealed she was taken to a medical center after suffering injuries on a music video shoot.
The pop star had fallen off of a platform while filming a clip for a remix version of her song "#Beautiful" with rapper Young Jeezy. Her husband and the video's director, Nick Cannon, said on NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday, July 9, that she dislocated her shoulder, cracked a rib, chipped her shoulder bone and then quickly returned to work.
"Dislocated my shoulder on the '#Beautiful; remix video with Jeezy," Carey said alongside her hospital photo, shared with her some 11.7 million Twitter followers and her some 11.6 million Facebook fans. "Sporting a very fashionable sling for the next couple of weeks!"
Carey's eyes are closed in the black and white photo and she appears to be smiling as an unidentified person puts their arm on her shoulder.
Carey is still set to perform on Saturday with the New York Philharmonic for the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert, which will benefit survivors of Hurricane Sandy.
