After Mariah Carey revealed she would "sporting a very fashionable sling" following a shoulder injury, the pop star performed on stage with her new accessory -- three of them.
She sang with the New York Philharmonic at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert, benefiting survivors of Hurricane Sandy, in Central Park on Saturday, July 13, wearing a black, feathery sling cover and two white ones -- one studded and one fuzzy. Each matched a different outfit. Assistants helped her switch her latter two slings on stage.
The pop star had recently suffered a fall during a shoot for her music video for the remix of "#Beautiful." Her husband and the clip's director, Nick Cannon, said she was treated at a Los Angeles hospital for a dislocated shoulder, cracked rib and chipped shoulder bone.
Carey had posted a picture of herself on a hospital bed on Twitter and told her followers she would be "sporting a very fashionable sling for the next couple of weeks."
