OTRC: 2013 MTV Video Music Awards: Full list of nominees

The nominees for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards were announced on Wednesday, July 17, and Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the pack with six nominations each.

Timberlake picked up nominations for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Pop Video and Best Editing for "Mirrors," the second single off his third studio album "The 20/20 Experience." His first single, "Suit & Tie" with Jay-Z, also picked up nominations for "Best Collaboration" and "Best Direction."

The hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis received their first Video Music Award nominations in categories like Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Editing for their single "Can't Hold Us," which featured Ray Dalton. They were also nominated for Video of the Year for their hit single "Thrift Shop."

Bruno Mars also scored four nominations including Best Pop Video and Best Male Video for "Locked Out of Heaven."

Fans can vote in general VMA categories like Video of the Year and Artist to Watch at vma.mtv.com.

The award ceremony will also be airing live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center for the first time ever on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. ET. Winners will be walking away with a limited edition KAWS Moonman, which was created exclusively for this year's award ceremony.
