In the sequel, "Red 2", you'll see more fighting, more explosions, and more of Parker, who's back for round two. This time around, she joins the ex-CIA operatives in their mission to track down a deadly nuclear weapon. But she does make a few rookie mistakes along the way.
Parker has been acting professionally for more than 20 years on screen, on stage, and most recently, in her Emmy-nominated role on "Weeds." All those credits, but she is very un-Hollywood.
"It is a particular world in Hollywood. I never lived in Hollywood, but when you go out there it is a 'land' and you see people with their lunches and their meetings and things and it's not something I've ever really been good at," said Parker. "When I went to drama school, I just thought I was going to be an actor and I would do rep theatre for the rest of my life and I would be happy. To me, the movies was some other planet."
Parker gets to show off different sides to her acting skills this weekend with both "Red 2" and "R.I.P.D." I asked her what she would really like to do that Hollywood has not seen her do yet.
"I always wanted to do like a Disney animated thing. I think they think I'm not very Disney because I was on a show about marijuana, but I'm actually very Disney. I can give you a tour of Disneyland with my eyes closed," said Parker.
