OTRC: Prince Harry talks royal baby, his role as an uncle

Prince Harry talked to reporters at a charity event on London on Thursday, July 25, about meeting his nephew for the first time and his new role as an uncle.

Harry said, according to The Associated Press, that when he met Prince George he was "crying his eyes out, as all babies do."

Harry added that he wants to make sure that his new nephew "has a good upbringing, and keep him out of harm's way and to make sure he has fun."

He also added that he hopes his brother, Prince William, knows "how expensive" his baby-sitting services are.

The royal baby's name was revealed on Wednesday. Prince William and his wife, Kate, named their first-born George Alexander Louis. The child will be formally known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

William and Kate left the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital with their son on Tuesday, July 23.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to her son on Monday at 4:24 p.m. GMT.

The new parents briefly spoke to reporters outside of the hospital. William joked his son was "quite heavy" and that "he's got her [Kate's] looks, thankfully." He also revealed that the two have not yet decided on a name.

When asked about the baby's hair, William said, "He's got way more than me, thank God."

Kate, formerly known as Kate Middleton, went into labor on July 22. Prince George was born in the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital. It is the same hospital where William was born in 1982. Prince Harry was born at the hospital as well.

Kate and William married in a televised ceremony in April 2011. Her pregnancy was announced on Monday, December 3, by St James's Palace, who added that the duchess was admitted that afternoon to a London hospital to treat Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
