Actors Evan Rachel Wood and Jaime Bell are the new parents of a baby boy.
A spokesperson for Wood confirmed the news in a statement to OTRC.com on Monday, July 29.
"Evan Rachel Wood and her husband Jamie Bell are parents to a beautiful boy. Parents and baby are all doing well," the rep said in a statement.
"Its a boy!! Song of the day "beautiful boy" #johnlennon," Wood tweeted on Monday.
No other details of the child's birth were released. Wood's pregnancy was announced in January. The baby boy is the first child for 25-year-old actress and Bell, 27. The two actors wed in a small California ceremony in October 2011. The couple first appeared together on screen in 2005 when they co-starred in Green Day's music video for "Wake Me Up When September Ends."
Wood, who had a breakout role in the 2003 film "Thirteen," is best known for appearing in movies like "Across the Universe" and the hit HBO series "True Blood." In 2011, she played Veda Pierce in the Emmy nominated HBO miniseries "Mildred Pierce" and has also starred in films such as "The Wrestler," "The Ides of March" and "The Conspirator."
Bell rose to fame in the 2000 Oscar-nominated film "Billy Elliot" and has since appeared in films like "The Chumscrubber," "Jumper," "Jane Eyre" and "The Adventures of Tintin." The British actor will next appear opposite Shia LaBeouf and Charlotte Gainsbourg in Lars von Trier's "Nymphomaniac."
