Amanda Seyfried stopped by "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Tuesday and brought along a very dear friend -- her dog, Finn.
The clever Australian Shepherd demonstrated a trick during the interview, which was aimed at promoting the 27-year-old actress' latest film, "Lovelace."
At her request, Letterman handed her a platter of hamburgers. She took one and placed it on her dog's head. After balancing the food for several seconds and remaining still, Finn then allowed it to fall and gobbled it up, appearing to impress the notoriously-cynical David Letterman (watch a video, below).
Seyfried later posed for photos with her dog outside the venue, the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York (check out the pictures).
"Lovelace" is set for release on Aug. 9. Seyfried plays Linda Lovelace, who was dubbed the "first erotic superstar." She is famous for her role in the 1972 porn film "Deep Throat."
Seyfried told Letterman that later that she planned on watching a screening of "Lovelace" with her father later that night, adding that he had not seen it yet.
"He's super supportive about it," she said. "He's actually amazing. I'm sitting it through it with him, 'cause I've seen it enough ... just to shield him from the boobs. It's really just about him not seeing me naked."
