Sophia Bush was a mermaid-like vision at the 2013 VH1 Do Something Awards on Wednesday, July 31, arriving in an aqua and white Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 gown with a ruched front.

The "One Tree Hill" alum, who hosted the event, paired the look with a Nancy Gonzalez clutch and Melinda Maria bracelets and arrived with boyfriend, Google executive Dan Fredinburg. The two first stepped out publicly in the spring.

The Do Something Awards show honors those who make a positive social impact. This years honorees included Jennifer Hudson, "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, E! personality Kelly Osbourne, actor and rapper LL Cool J and Patrick Dempsey of "Grey's Anatomy."

Other attendees included Carmen Electra -- who sported an electric blue, one-shoulder, silk Ines Di Santo gown that retails for $4,500, a L'Dezen Jewellery ring, Vahan Jewelry earrings and super sharp nails -- and "Sex and the City" alum Cynthia Nixon, who arrived to support Ferguson. The actor attended the awards with his new husband, Justin Mikita, who proudly showed his wedding ring to onlookers.

Hudson, Carmen Electra and other stars talked to OTRC.com before the award show.

"I think, usually, at the beginning of your career, when you're struggling and you're wanting to make it, you're kind of your own charity," she said. "You're your own charity case. Everything is 'I, I, I' and 'Me, me, me' and I think you get to a certain point in life where you realize that there are other things that are way more important than being selfish."

"I definitely came to that conclusion quite a few year ago," she added. "I think people are more aware now and have more of a venue to speak up."
