George Lucas, creator of "Star Wars," and wife Mellody Hobson have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.
The couple's daughter, Everest Hobson Lucas, was born via a surrogate mother on Friday, Aug. 9, a spokesperson for Lucas confirmed to OTRC.com on Monday.
This is the fourth child for Lucas, 69. He is a father to three adopted adult children -- two daughters, Amanda, 32, and Katie, 25, and little brother Jett, 20.
Lucas, who was previously married to Marcia Lou Griffin, wed Hobson, the 44-year-old president of the Chicago-based investment management firm Ariel Investments, on June 22 at his home, Skywalker Ranch, in central California.
