Miguel was arrested early on Wednesday, Aug. 15, on suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles, OTRC.com has confirmed.
The Grammy award-winning singer was stopped in Marina del Rey in Los Angeles County at 2:15 a.m. for speeding and having tinted windows on his BMW. Miguel was then given a sobriety test and his blood alcohol level was .10, above the legal limit of .08, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Miguel Jontel Pimentel, was booked on a misdemeanor at 3:32 a.m. He was released on $5,000 bail at 5:13 a.m. and is due in court on Sept. 9.
Miguel is likely best known for his singles "Adorn" and "#Beautiful," his duet with Mariah Carey. The video for the song can be viewed here. Earlier this year, the singer took home a Grammy award for Best R&B son for Beautiful.
The singer is also up for two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards including Best Video With A Social Message for his video for the song "Candles in the Sun." The award show airs on Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. Check out a full list of nominations here.
