Penn State-Sandusky case: 1st settlement reached

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.

Victim 5 reportedly settled for several million dollars. The exact dollar amount has not been specified. Attorney Tom Kline said his 25-year-old client was one of eight young men who took the stand at Sandusky's trial.

Victim 5 testified that he met the coach at a Second Mile camp in 1999 and went to Penn State games with him. He said that Sandusky groped him in the showers during a workout.

The settlement is the first among 26 civil claims filed.

Penn State's trustees have authorized approximately $60 million to be used for settlements.

Sandusky is serving a 30 to 60 year prison sentence. He was found guilty on 45 counts of child sex abuse on June 22, 2012.
