Brush fire burning near Lytle Creek; no homes threatened

LYTLE CREEK, SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY

The so-called Gobblers Fire is located approximately 10 miles northwest of Lytle Creek and burned at least 50 acres by Wednesday. It was 20 percent contained Wednesday.

The U.S. Forest Service says the fire was sparked by lightning on Monday. The fire stayed small but found new fuel on Tuesday.

Smoke is visible from Riverside, San Bernardino and the Cajon Pass.
