Ventura suspect arrested in killing of man found in freezer

VENTURA, Calif.

Ventura police say 49-year-old Michael Bresnak, who was already in jail on an unrelated case, is accused of killing 60-year-old Jeffrey Korber.

Korber's body was found stuffed inside a working freezer at a self-storage facility on the 3600 block of Market Street in Ventura on June 28.

Family members in Laguna Beach reported Korber missing in July 2011.

Investigators say the victim had been living with Bresnak's mother, 66-year-old Mary Hannan. Earlier this month, police said Hannan was considered a person of interest in this case. She has not been charged with a crime.

Anyone with information about this case was asked to contact the Ventura Police Department at (805) 339-4441.
