Miley Cyrus treated her fans to not one, but two surprises over the weekend -- the cover of her album and a new song.
Cyrus released the cover art for her highly-anticipated new album,"Bangerz," on Twitter Saturday, Aug. 24. The singer tweeted to her more than 13 million followers, "You know the vintage YSL don't stay on for long #bangerz #october8" with a link to the photo.
The cover art features Cyrus rocking a black long-sleeve mini dress and red lipstick looking over her shoulder with the title "Bangerz" next to her, along with bamboo trees and an orange-to-purple ombre design effect. "Bangerz" is scheduled to be released Tuesday Oct. 8.
The former Disney Channel star also released a new song from "Bangerz" titled "Wrecking Ball," which fans can purchase immediately when pre-ordering the album on iTunes. The song, produced by Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, is a brokenhearted ballad that is a major departure from her current single, "We Can't Stop," which has peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Cyrus will take to the MTV Video Music Award stage Aug. 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The singer is nominated for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video for "We Can't Stop."
