OTRC: 'N Sync ex-member Joey Fatone talks reunion, MTV VMAs (Video)

Joey Fatone talks to OTRC.com at an apartment in Los Angeles, where he is filming an episode of his Live Well TV show 'My Family Recipe Rocks,' on Aug. 27, 2013. He discussed the possibility of another 'N Sync reunion following the 2013 MTV VMAs.

Joey Fatone recently talked to OTRC.com about the brief but much talked-about 'N Sync reunion at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and shot down the idea of the five guys reuniting again any time soon.

Speaking at a taping of his Live Well network reality show "My Family Recipe Rocks" at a Los Angeles apartment on Tuesday, Fatone echoed similar comments recently made by fellow former group member Lance Bass.

"Honestly, and it is 100 percent true, there is nothing in the works as of right now. It hasn't even been talked about," he said, regarding the idea of a larger 'N Sync reunion. "Everybody's doing something their own things ... and it's not just like, you know, 'Hey, we're not gonna do it,' but it's kind of a tough thing at the moment ... Maybe later on down the line, but as of right now, no! Sorry! I apologize!"

"It was funny just getting back in the studio, just kind of rehearsing, because it was kind of like old times, it's like riding a bicycle," Fatone added. "You pick up where you left off, a couple more pounds heavier, but you pick up where you left off and you just go with it and it was kind of fun. It was just a cool, kind of a memorable thing."

Ex-'N Sync singer Justin Timberlake, who is promoting new solo music, was the reason the 1990s boy band reunited at the VMAs. The former members joined him for 90 seconds to perform parts of their hit tracks during a medley consisting mostly of his songs and just before he received an honorary award.

"[Timberlake] called us up and kind of said, 'Hey, if it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't be here where I am today. Let's do a performance or something,'" Fatone told OTRC.com. "He even said at first he didn't know what to do or what he was going to do."
